I completed my PhD in Politics and International Relations at Cardiff University in 2023. My thesis explored the roles and motivations of female members of the Alternative for Germany (AfD).
My research interests include: gender and political behaviour; the European far-right; feminist methodologies; women’s role in terrorism and political violence; political attitudes in post-reunification Germany; the role of time, space, and place in the development of political subjectivities; reflexivity; and the ethics of researching the far right.
I currently work outside of academia, but I am keen to continue my academic work independently and open to potential collaborations and/or publishing opportunities. I am an experienced interdisciplinary qualitative researcher, author, and project manager who specialises in semi-structured interviewing, focus groups, discourse/documentary analysis, and systematic evaluation.
I am a member of the Reactionary Politics Research Network, Extreme Right Research Network, and a section editor for the Religion Compass e-journal (Modern Ideologies and Faith).
